worse than being at sea!

People who have been on cruises or have been at sea on boats for a few days know this feeling we have today: the feeling you are walking sideways even though you are not.  For the entire time we were at ISM speedway campground, our RV leveled itself as though it either was just tired of trying to get it right or simply gave up with a sigh.  We literally spent the last week with the *ss end of the RV up off the ground while the passenger side was significantly lower to the ground than the entire drivers side.  Something like this:
This morning we were so excited to bust out of there but NO. The RV had other ideas.  The leveling jacks would not retract.  Nope. Not budging.  Cap'n John ran through troubleshooting and had the hydraulic jack manufacturer on speaker phone all morning.  He ended up manually relieving the hydraulic pressure with a very fancy turn and release maneuver using his wrench, while pirouetting into a ridiculously small mechanical door and stretching his arms much longer than they had ever been stretched before.  How he does these things in such small quarters is just amazing to watch.  Anyhow, we are now on terra firma, level and at the Colorado River near the California border.
