who is this guy?

 Yesterday on our drive we saw John's brother out at the end of his driveway. John pulls up and asks directions.  Brother does not know who John is for a few minutes.  Earlier in the day, John saw Craig's parked truck on the side of the road with Craig (friends since high school) at the wheel. John pulls right up so they are face to face through the windows.  John asks if Craig needs anything. Craig has no idea who John is for a  few minutes.  Today, we were walking along the Susan Grossman walking path and from 1/2 mile away, doing 60mph is Zav calling out "Yaeger!" to John.  He could tell it was him from that far away while driving!
