well this morning went off the rails

​Gorgeous morning. What a perfect start to the day but to take the ladies out for their walk. Marla and Piper start trotting along only to start some reluctance showing about 1/2 mile in by Piper. Marla and I wanted to go in one direction and Piper was like a dog version of Garmin. I could envision her yelling at us like a bot "WHEN POSSIBLE, MAKE A U TURN!" as she kept going in the opposite direction. After a few back and forths, I give up and head back. Meet John on the back deck. See Momma deer and her babies grazing in the yard. Oh how sweet....a racoon skuttles by. A kingfisher flys overhead....we are at peace and just take it all in then OMG! There is a kerfuffle happening down the yard in a bush. Proud warrior woodle Marla busts out of the bush with a dead raccoon in her mouth. OMG.
