the smoke from this fire was probably all the way to crater lake in oregon

Traveling east from the coast we turn inward to wine country today.  Along Route 20 we pass entire mountain ranges completely black and scorched flat down to the dirt.  Excuse the bugs on our windshield!  Still, there were so many home made signs thanking all the firefighters, it was so cool to see.
