the INTIMIDATEr

Just as we feared, Marla is taking every opportunity to intimidate Gus.  However, she chooses a very stealthy and sneaky way of doing this. Instead of growling or nipping at Gus, she chooses to lean on him.  For example, I was making something at the stove, Gus was near my feet. Marla got wind of this and calmly walked over and began to jam her right shoulder and elbow into Gus and then slowly lowered body weight dead man style onto him so he literally was a prisoner between Marla and the cupboard so he was stuck.  

Tonight, she choose to wait for him to approach the couch.  As he made his way over, we watched her get slowly up, crouching tiger hidden dragon style, follow him and force him behind the couch as he took cover from her. 

This morning on our vigorous morning hike with Reed, Gus and Marla, we came upon a wild turkey on the side of the road. It made no intent to move or avoid us, making me think it was sleeping.  

As I talked out loud to it "Stupid turkey! Wake up! The thundering horde is about to descend upon you! Wake up!"  The pups were literally one foot away when it's eyes shot open and it ran in circles freaking out not know what the hell was happening!
