sequoia national forest and park, aka= tinderbox ready to go

We are in disbelief at how dry the entire Pacific coast, California, Oregon and Canada are.  Even our Garmin shows us to be driving near lakes and rivers that are completely dried up.  Not a drop of water for miles and all the brush is ready to burn down the earth for hundreds of miles out here.  Unreal.  Just unreal.   We did sigh with relief when we saw the giant sequoia's like General Sherman still standing.
