We made it to Texas, how, we have no idea. I-10 is a hot mess with potholes, broken and ragged cement plates  mismatched leveling and thresholds between seams of pavement many inches apart and unevenness of biblical proportions.  Poor Marla Truex Jr was shaking from fear that the RV was being shaken apart for hours.  John could be heard for miles with each "are you kidding me Texas?" "What the hell was that?!" "If we make it intact to the State Park it will be a miracle!" "This road is friggin ridiculous!"  Then, of course,  the icing on the cake was to have to drive the 40 foot RV rock star tour bus towing a Honda SUV with 2 full sized bikes on the bike rack into the Chevron and Valero oil refineries full of 90 degree turns.  It truly was a joyous trip.  NOT.  John could not even take a drink of water from his water bottle for hours due to the horrible condition of the roads and the toll it was taking on trying to keep us on the road!  Fortunately,  John got us to Sea Rim State Park where we decompressed with some bird watching. Our RV is nearly on the beach itself and John will find his happy place: in a beach chair, on the beach, with his feet in the ocean.
