OMG OMG OMG OMG! WTF just happened to Cap'n John? OMG OMG OMG

Paul, Chelle, Landon, Jake and I were in the lake enjoying this incredible summer Father's Day in Owosso.  Pappa John went back to the RV stakes to anchor the beach tent.  As I turned to look for him to return, I could NOT believe my eyes!  "Is that John flying up in the air? OMG!"

Ok, so now I have Chelle and Paul's attention!  "Hey you guys! That's John! He just flew up in the air and ..wait!  HE'S BEING ATTACKED BY A GIANT BLACK DOG!"  I swear it looked as big as a bear! At this, Paul sprang into full Baywatch Action!  Out of the water he bounced and then sprinted across the molten hot beach out to help John who was about a block away from us in the water!

I was in shock and then reality hit! OMG OMG That ACHILLES! NOOOOOO! That leg is held together with spit and a prayer! Please not that Achilles!   I rewound the visual in my head for a second and then realized that John had been full body 150 pound pit bull slam on the left side while he grabbed John's leg with his paws and his teeth pulling him back down.  WWE could learn something from this beast.   This beast came running at top speed about 30 feet before he rammed John and then took a bite out of him.

There was a bit of kerfuffle once John got up on his feet.  The owner came out of his RV and had "no idea" why his dog did that,  he's a rescue and blah blah blah.

After this attack, John looked down at his hand and realized brand new  beer had flown out of his hand and that never happens, like, ever.

His leg however, is awful.  Happy Father's Day to you John and all you other Father's out there.  May you never be attacked by a pit bull on your own special days.

Oh, and it wasn't ten minutes later that the entire RV and family high tailed it out of the campground.

That’s horrible! Dennis & I were just talking about pit bulls today. Neither of us truly trust them after that one, known and friendly dog, bit Jessica’s son in the face when he was little. He was a great dog and sweet. But there seems to be a mystery key that sets them of. It’s so bad that they took off. I hope you know if the dog had his shots! Quick healing, John!

Thanks Carol. It was the most horrible thing I've ever seen happen to John. That dog just railed him up in the air and then grabbed him mid flight and bit him on the way down. John said out of all the times he's been tackled or hit, he has never been hit with the force that dog nailed him with. He was literally off the ground and sideways when I saw him at first.

Thanks Sue! He's an automaton! He's over the shock and progressing slowly!
