One year worth of rain in 24 hours

Horrible 24 hours of weather in Denver! We left Bear Creek Park and moved to East Denver KOA. Pickings are very slim for places to stay due to Mother's Day and Memorial Day weekend.  We had two solid days of off and on rain at Bear Creek, nothing too horrible. Driving to our new spot the wind kept getting stronger and stronger, the rain harder and harder. Pull into the campground and were told our site was flooded. We had to re locate. Get to alternate site and attempt to set up. The wind was sustained 35-50 mph with gusts up 70mph and sideways freezing rain! To make it worse, whoever left the site last put the sewer cap on with like a blow torch.  John could not get it to turn! There was ankle deep flooding as we got the dogs from the car to the RV (I had Piper in my coat).  John had to go back out and use a pair of channel locks to budge that sewer cap open, while looking through slits for eyes due to assault from the sideways rain.  It lasted 24 hours straight. We had to pull the slides in and pray the dogs would go potty immediately as soon as we took them out in the sloshing flood parking area. UGH.
