New orleans needs an exorcism

We have been to New Orleans three times over the past 15 years.  We had an expectation of the same NOLA when we arrived this time. Wow were we disappointed.  There are homeless everywhere. One has to step over or around them, even on morning dog potty walks. There is graffiti on every inch of surface on every surface: Fences, historic buildings; shop facades; delivery vans; streets; street lamps; and any other surface amenable to spray paint. There are shoulder to shoulder people on Bourbon street and just last night a shooting on Bourbon street sending one to the hospital and injuring four others. The tourist area streets reek of urine and vomit. Do not come here unless you want to experience the worst the USA has to offer.
