Marla!

We made back to the Pacific Coast today.  There is a state beach near our campground that is dog friendly.  I hitch Marla up and off we go to find it.  The entrance looks to be about 100 yards. Cool. We start walking on the sandy trail, only to discover that after the first 100 yards comes a down hill followed by an uphill another down hill then about 100 yards to the actual beach.

I let her off leash near where the ocean meets the shore.  We trot along for a while and I see her snarfing something off the ground.  Oh man. What is she eating? I yell at her "Marla! Are you eating a jellyfish?" She turns her head with a jelly fish clearly hanging out of her mouth and runs away saying "No! It's not a jellysfish" and makes me chase her before she releases it.

We walk about a mile along the beach and back and head back.  Up the hill, down the hill, up the hill and then down the hill in the sand.  I'm exhausted.  I can see the end of the trail about 1/2 mile ahead of me when Marla decides her feet hurt and does not want to continue.  *Sigh*   I pick her up, she feels like a fire plug, and I trod on the last 1/2 mile to the road. Set her down on the pavement and head back to the R. V.  Marla!
