killer signs!

Last time in Vegas, we wanted to tour this place but it was sold out.  www.neonmuseum.org/This time, we got two tickets and camera in hand, got to see some of the old bling that made Vegas what it is today.  We learned that the artists usually used red and yellow for the paint on the signs as those colors together were more likely to draw attention than others. Think MacDonald's, Burger King, Wells Fargo, etc.  Many scenes in films and videos were filmed here on the museum grounds as well nevadafilm.com/location-spotlight-neon-museum/

This is the skull sculpture from Treasure Island.  It looks pretty impressive from the Google Earth map.
