Marla Truex Js and I nearly were flattened on A1A this morning at St. Brendan school.  Of course, Marla had to cross A1A as that's where the best potty spots are for dogs.  We stand on the east side of A1A waiting for traffic to clear. Directly across from us is a Mom in an SUV also waiting to cross.  She and I make eye contact.  It's an overcast day, no sun in her eyes.  The traffic clears, Marla and I cross the first lane and are in the divider when SUV mom punches the gas and nearly flattens us.  I yell "Asshole!" at her and air punch her hood.  We were this close to being 1st Catholic road kill of 2023.
