invasion of the chipmunks

No wonder we could find a site in this Collier State Park in Chiloquin, Oregon.  It's over run by chipmunks and all the locals knew it!  There are thousands of them everywhere! We have never seen so many of them!

The native Oregon campers here all put the hoods of their cars up and in the open position 24/7 to discourage them from climbing in there and chewing on the wires in the engine.  But, that trick doesn't seem to work as John saw the guy next door pounding on the front of his car (that did have it's hood open) and a little chipmunk perched in the engine chattering back at him.

Needless to say, they are making Marla lose her damn mind.  She is on high alert all the time here and when we take her out she is dodging and weaving for them like a shark in the water!
