Inside bryce.

Today we took a vigorous hike to the bottom of Bryce Canyon and then back up.  About 2/3rd of the way back up we decided that our many years of living near sea level did not prepare us for the lack of oxygen! We would go up about 50 feet, stop and take photos (suck in air), and then go up a few more feet, stop and take photos (suck in air), about 50 times.  I was attempting to give John the good old American encouragement "we're almost to the top!" and "just one more dog leg!"  until he said "ONE MORE DOG LEG?!" "REALLY?"  and gave me that look that one does when one is going to go all Rafiki.  Anyhow, we made it to the top and were wondering why there wasn't any Rocky music playing! We felt victorious!

Marla Truex Jr. was not welcome on the trials that went down into Bryce so she stayed home in her apartment on the dashboard.
