I should not go outside, but now I need a new wedding ring

 We are in St. Augustine and decide to take Marla on a quick potty walk in Anastasia State Park.  Should only take a few minutes.  Its around 4:30 pm, sunshine day, I get Marla hooked up and she pops out of the car. We tell John "We will meet you up around the bend!" So off he goes and off we go.  La la la, walking is so nice until....Marla and I are ambushed by thousands of mosquitoes all at once! I am full on windmilling my arms and flinging my feet like a crazy person while running with Marla, smacking five, ten mosquitoes in rows, death blood splotches all over me.  Marla was making a bee line for her beloved John.  I must have looked like an absolute lunatic! Slapping my head, whirling my arms, slapping my ankles, while running then "ding, ding, ding!" I hear the sound of my wedding ring hitting the road and bouncing who knows where! I was flinging my arms with such authority my ring just jettisoned off by itself! I have never seen so many bloodthirsty mosquitoes all at once. When I looked at my arm there were at least five in a bunch and I would smack them and five to ten more would show up on the other arm then my ankles then my head! I ran like a lunatic to the car! John drove back and attempted to find the ring, with no success.  We will return tomorrow with our newly purchased metal detector and fully slathered in DEET and a Class B Hazmat suit.
