WOW! New Orleans for the WIN! We cannot believe the transformation of this city from the last time we were here. It is pristine with fresh paint everywhere: Graffiti on all the monuments is gone; no more miles of homeless encampments under all the overpasses; no bath salt zombies on the sidewalks; music in the streets; the air smells like gumbo instead of stale urine; and people are free walking! We had our reservations about returning to this city after the last time we stayed here for a week. That visit we took one trip down Bourbon street and never went back to the city. It was like raw sewage, crime ridden, gunshots and stabbings, but holy cow New Orleans! WOW!  We both encourage all to come back to this gem of a city!
