Fort desoto state park, st petersburg, fl

Little if any internet service again! We are now in Ft. Desoto St. Park and it is prehistorically beautiful.  One expects to see a Pterodactyl fly over at any time.  This park site proved to be very challenging to park the massive 40 foot tour bus into but somehow Capt'n John manages to make it look easy, and is pretty fast getting into these tight quarters I must say! If it was me driving, we would still be crawling, inch by inch into the spot and knocking down palm trees painfully and slowly.  That being said, here he is at work (below) and note how little room there is on either side of the RV, during parking and once parked on both sides as well as the low lying limbs over the roof.  He is masterful at this!

The image on the far right: look way far in the back you will see a green pole thing. That's the electric hook up.  How does he get that RV in there?

Later, we were visited by Jay Avallone and his crazy futuristic motorcycle.  I actually said "what the heck is he driving?" and it's as impressive in person as it is in the picture! It was great to see Jay and listen to he and John go waaaaay back into their childhood days such as the Leonard's field fire on Scoville hill and riding bikes with Ponno and having Jay's tooth knocked through his lip, good times!
