disappearing glaciers

Now that we have a small measure of bandwidth, here are some photos from this week of Glacier National Park.  It was gorgeous but no appreciable glaciers to strike awe in the hearts due to global warming =(  See those snow patches on the mountains? Those are what's left of the glaciers.  Sad.  There is one area in Glacier State Park called "Many Glacier" where free range cows own the roads.

By the time the grand kids are old enough to take solo road trips, what's left of these glaciers may be gone. According to the U.S. Geological Survey and Portland State University,  that in the past 50 years, all large ice formations in Montana have already lost 85% of their size and that the glaciers are indeed disappearing.  We are witness to the loss. Devastating!
