Today we took a ferry boat ride to visit beautiful Caladesi Island State Park www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/caladesi-island-state-park/ with Jay and Janet Avallone.  The island is uninhabited and is known for it's pristine beaches.  Some of it's inhabitants are gopher tortoises and armadillos.  Did you know that armadillos are known to carry leprosy? Don't touch them!  We did see some dolphins on the ferry ride back too!
